Founded by French-American Paul André, Crème de-la draws inspiration from his father's Parisian bakery.

After his father's retirement due to Covid, André, a rising New York interior designer, decided to open his own bakery this year. The name, a play on "Crème de la Crème" (the best of the best), honors his father's heritage and signifies André's commitment to creating exceptional pastries.

He intentionally omits the "Crème" to leave it open-ended, inviting customers to imagine the delightful treats that await them.
